OBJECTIVE

  • To draw the attention of nightclub visitors to the problem of underage drinking.
  • To limit the sale of alcohol to pupils.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INITIATIVE

  • The campaign is the first initiative ran by the Responsible League and was aimed at the general public. It highlighted the existing Agency for Child Protection's hotline so that patrons of the League's venues could signal any violation of the law, which prohibits the sale of alcohol to minors, if they witnessed it.  
  • A unique poster was created reflecting the identity of the venue and the campaign message for each League member establishment.
  • The campaign was launched on 7 September at Club 365. Special guests were the chairman of the State Agency for Child Protection Ms Ofelia Kaneva, actor and face of the campaign "Driving = responsibility" Alexander Sano and journalist Dragomir Simeonov.

IMPACT

  • Club 365 event: Magnets, a small version of each of the five posters, were handed out to over 250 guests and over 20 representatives from television, radio, print and online media attended.
  • The event took place in the 5 member venues of the League reaching around 250,000 customers.
